Lorelei Lee

Lorelei Lee was born on March 2, 1981, in San Francisco, California, making her a Pisces. Of Caucasian ethnicity and American nationality, she grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She went on to graduate from San Francisco State University in 2008, later earning a master's degree in creative writing from New York University, and was recognized early in life with a National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts youngARTS Scholarship.

Lorelei Lee entered the adult industry in 2002 at the age of 19, adopting her stage name from Marilyn Monroe's character Lorelei in the film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Standing 165cm and weighing 57kg with measurements of 34-27-35, she appeared under several aliases including Lorilei Lee, Lorelei Mission, and Lorilee Lee. Over a career spanning 16 years, she accumulated 35 or more scenes and appeared across 95 platforms and sites.

Lee became particularly well known for her fetish and bondage work on Kink.com, where she also worked as a director. In May 2011, Variety reported that Lee co-wrote the screenplay for Cherry alongside Stephen Elliott, a film directed by Elliott and starring James Franco, Heather Graham, and Lili Taylor.

Lorelei Lee retired from performing in 2018 after a 16-year career. She has been active in academia and advocacy, teaching writing at New York University and at the San Francisco Center for Sex and Culture as of 2016. In 2020 she graduated magna cum laude with a JD from Cornell Law School and was inducted into the Order of the Coif, subsequently becoming a Justice Catalyst Fellow at the Cornell Law School Gender Justice Clinic in 2021.
